draconus Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 I have an upcoming PC upgrage (CPU, RAM, MoBo). Do I need to do anything before that like deactivate modules to not lose 1 activation count? Capn kamikaze Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 Deactivate your modules before you proceed.

Rudel_chw Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 OK. Does it matter if they are keyless or not? You only need to deactivate those that use Star Force protection. draconus Posted December 12, 2018 Author Posted December 12, 2018 Yeah, I've seen this thread but still want to clarify how did you know/check. StarForce is just for the modules that have a key in the Module Manager? Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
Rudel_chw Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 Yeah, I've seen this thread but still want to clarify how did you know/check. StarForce is just for the modules that have a key in the Module Manager? Not necesarily, as if you, for example, owned an aircraft prior to it going Keyless .. it will still have the old serial number. You can telll those that have StarForce by looking into the Module Manager, they are the modules that have a small "DRM" button on the right side. The Keyless modules dont have that button. stiffstarch1 Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 I had to reinstall DCS World, Both Stable and Beta Versions. I installed the Beta first and it seemed ok and detected all of my modules and terrains and campaigns. However on installing the Stable version, it installed ok, but had an error finding my data for modules, terrains and campaigns. I uninstalled and tried re-installing and got same message. I installed both the stable and Beta versions to same drive. Is there a conflict between the two versions? Should I install the stable version to a different drive? When I installed the stable version, It said it was copying files from the Beta version. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
draconus Posted January 7, 2019 Author Posted January 7, 2019 You'd be better off starting a new thread. Also provide a screen or exact message. Search the forums for how to install both versions. Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
