Royal Australian Navy Skyhawks VF805, Two skins are included : No 887 of VF 805 Royal Australian Navy and a Generic skin of VF 805 in the Blue and Grey camouflage scheme. The original aircraft were A-4G Skyhawks which Australia flew off the HMAS Melbourne up to about 1980/82. The McDonnell Douglas A-4G Skyhawk is a variant of the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk attack aircraft developed for the Royal Australian Navy. The model was based on the A-4F variant of the Skyhawk, and was fitted with slightly different avionics as well as the capacity to operate AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missiles.

Fantastic work again Strut. Your photo of HMAS Melbourne with the S2 Trackers on it reminds me when I was posted to RAAF East Sale 15 years ago. A friend and I went to West Sale airport and found those Trackers in a hanger in various stages of breaking down for scavenge. Sad.

 

Definitely looking forward to installing those skins.

Thanks very much Ian, Scotch, Sting and Javelina for your kind words and praise. This is my favourite paint for the Scooter. I also have fond memories of the SkyHawk from my early years in the Australian Army when we used to have them come and fly CAS for us. Allthough we got a little peeved when the Government sold them to NZ and to our amazement leased some back. If you blokes pick up on any faults pleas let me know and I will fix them. Its always good to have a critical eye run over my work. Thanks again.

As to the link , I do have a link showing just above my Sig, " Struts Skins in User Files" - you should be able to see it from there. But yes I will in future put a direct link in. Il do it now.
