Tested this this morning and it seemed to work as advertised. I set wp 2 as aa stp. I did take it out of the sequence. Bullseye numbers came up on the radar as expected.

Thanks for the response.

Can this be done in the editor or only in pit ?

Bulls Eye

Shadow, you select DATA on the lower DDI(?) and make sure you have a waypoint selected and press AA WYP I think it is? It’s the second one above lower left. Also, make sure the radar display isn’t declutter. Noticed they made the jet start up with declutter 2 selected. That’s in the DATA page on the radar display.

Hope that helps.

Note: whatever waypoint you have selected when you press AA WPT will be the displayed bullseye on the radar.

Now if that corresponds with the AWACS bullseye? I think that is setup in the editor?

How many waypoints can the Hornet store ?

I think 59? I’m guessing since the FPAS only goes as high as 59.

60. 0 through 59.

Three waypoint sequences of 14 waypoints each.

Thank you for the quick answers !

So can we have it like the A-10 ? The cartridge is automatically filled with airfield data, Bullseye and IP from the mission ?

As I understand the WPs don't have names tho, so it can be done like for the Viggen, the WP number with their name is written down in the knee-board

The hornet, at least for now, only recognizes the waypoints. If you have a flight plan it will be automatically loaded. Make sure that one point is the bullseye, you have to specify that it is the bulleseye manually though.

Yeah, I understand that it is done that way....

I just wish it worked as I described it would be a lot more realist and useful

Seems to me you can place extra WPs beyond the FP wherever you want to ID a geographic location. Without SA page you have to keep record of what they represent.

yes you can do that too. I tried yesterday to enter a waypoint 15 with Bullseye coordinated. Unlike Wags said, I did not add it to the sequence and still could designate it as Buleseye point. This is quite convenient indeed

so, if host is not make bullseye point as wp, i can't use this function? or i should enter the bullseye as wp manually?

As I said, I did enter a wp manually and it worked.

So, every multiplayer host SHOULD add the bullseye coordinates for all participating flights in the briefing.

You can also hover with the mouse over Bullseye on the F10 map and wrote down the coordinates.

INS needs to be spun up with a waypoint in the system having the same geo position as the Bullseye.

Thus a separate flight or awacks have a common reference point.

If GPS was refined as well as it today it might not need to be so.

I move the bullseye to a waypoint, not the other way round. Home plate for example.

Correct. Because AWACS and other allied flight calls use the bullseye in the ME. If they are not in the same position, the radio calls will not make sense on the radar.

If the bullseye is too far from the action zone, then you won't get a refined picture if the different groups.
