Waffuhl Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 So since december's open beta there's been this killfeed on the left of the screen, showing damage inflicted to enemies and such; and I don't see any way to disable it. Even because it appears all recent DCS videos. I know, it's open beta and these kind of stuff might happen but, we already got a new beta going and i'm wondering why no one is talking about it or anything, it's pretty annoying as it kills some of the immersion, and forces the mouse into appearing on the screen. So just wondering, is this really some temporary bug or am I missing anything?

Waffuhl Posted January 17, 2019 Author Posted January 17, 2019 Yeah, solved the problem, thank you very much. Still wondering why it was allowed on servers tho
Lixma 06 Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 Yeah, solved the problem, thank you very much. Still wondering why it was allowed on servers tho Just a bug....the server switch for BDA was broken so clients could still see messages if they had them turned on.

panton41 Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 I know the OP is posting it as a bug, but to me this is a useful feature for practicing bombing runs. I haven't really played combat flight sims in close to 15 years and between my rusty skills and the newer simulators being so much more realistic the immediate BDA would mean I could "score" my bombing passes immediately. Tiramisu Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Just a bug....the server switch for BDA was broken so clients could still see messages if they had them turned on. You can also observe this bug in single player missions. Even if you uncheck BDA in the mission options, it will still show up in that mission as long as you have BDA set to on in your general settings.
Wizard1393 Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 I think it's a great option to have. But I don't like that it forces the mouse pointer to be displayed.
