conformal fueltanks for the a-10

i am working on a 3dmodel for the a-10 conformal fueltanks right now.

it will take a few more days or weeks till it will be done, but i will try to replace the 2000Liter tank that is available in lock on.

i tried it and it will work.

I like the idea of having a secondary tank. Gets hairy trying to get back home with fuel leaks so some added fuel would be nice.

Nice work but these tanks ain't conformal.

 

Conformal tanks are blended into the fuselage like the tanks on F-15E and F-16 Block 60.

ohh yes you are right, i mixed that up, arrrg, when you have to deal with so many diffrent planes you sometimes get confused.

 

now i only wait for a message from my buddy tomcatz that he has time so we can replace it in lockon and do our first testrun.

 

i hope, at least it is my plan, that there will be 2 mods, with to diffrent colors, one grey and the other one green.

Maybe its possible for you to send this to ED? That way we don't have to replace the F-15 fuel tanks or something.

i could do that but i beleive, that it will be worth nothing, because they beleive that the airrefueling will be enough.
