Shortcut Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 (edited) Just updated DCS Beta to the latest version and my FPS seem locked between 26 and 28 FPS. It does not matter which aircraft I fly A-10c, F-18 or the P-51 or where I fly over the desert over Vegas or over the Ocean on the ground or if I’m at 1,000 feet or 20,000 feet. Prior to the update I never went below the mid 30’s on the ground and 60 Plus FPS flying and that’s at 7680 X 1440 and not below the upper 40’s at 2560 X 1440. I tried the DCS Repair tried reducing the settings and have the same 26 to 28 FPS V-Sync is off in the Nivida Control panel and game. I also updated the official version and have the same problem plus 1 when I log in it tells me DCS is off line and will not load all my aircraft. I have not made any changes to my setting or PC. I think my system can handle it see system below. I also have X Plane 11 that’s running fine over 30 FPS at 7680 X 1440 and the setting are pretty maxed out and 60 Plus at 2560 X 1440. Any Ideas Thanks Edited January 24, 2019 by Shortcut 13700K, MSI Z690 D4 Edge wifi, Swiftech H360X3 Cooling with Corsair Water Block, Gigabyte 4090 OC, 64gb Trident Z 3600 CL16, Evga 850W G2 power supply, Moza AB9, Virpil Apha Prime, Winwing Orion 2 Viper, TM Warthog, MFG Crosswinds With Damper, TrackIR 5, HP Reverb 2, Pimax Crystal

Shortcut Posted January 24, 2019 Author Posted January 24, 2019 (edited) Installed latest drivers last night driver version 417.71 maybe I'll try an older version Tried driver 391.35 still FPS read out says no lower than 26 FPS and Max is 28 FPS no matter what or where I fly. Maybe a problem with FPS counter? Shortcut Posted January 25, 2019 Author Posted January 25, 2019 (edited) Uninstalled anything that said Nvidia installed 391.35 no difference uninstalled 391.35 reinstalled 417.71 no difference. Redid the DCS Repair no change Next: I downloaded a new copy of DCS Beta last night to a different drive and FPS are back up and running good. Any idea which files could cause the problem I realty don't want to have to re-download everything. Shortcut Posted January 25, 2019 Author Posted January 25, 2019 It's fixed only way was to copy mods to new DCS Beta down. Shortcut Posted January 30, 2019 Author Posted January 30, 2019 (edited) I found what caused the original locking of my FPS. I was trying to use a Android app with DCS called the Hornet UFC Is has a additional program that's called DCS Device Server this program adds 2 files to the Saved Games Folder under Scripts. They a folder called DEVICEWORKS and a LUNA file called Export. I deleted both files and I'm back over 100 FPS @ 7680 X 1440 (3 monitors). If the developer can get it to work it will be a nice addition to DCS your be able to put the UFC on a tablet or your phone. He also going to do one for the A-10C.
