How to select Medium range missile.

Hi Folks,

 

Ive managed to bind AA Gun selection and Magic short range AA to my HOTAS but I cant find the binding for the medium range missile?

 

Ive tried a few bindings and cant find it.

 

Anybody know what it is listed as?

you can select the 530 by several ways, mouse, shortcut, HOTAS ( PCA select )

This MAY have changed but you may have a look at the hotas buttons sections

The other ways may have been discontinued (to reflect real aircraft)

 

Anyway, go in the binding configuration page, go to the drop down list, go up one click, selct search: search for magic or weapons : should lead you to the right place)

IIRC the S530 can't be selected on the HOTAS or somewhere else.

It must bes selected via the PCA. Only "Magic II", "Gun" and "PCA select" can be selected via the HOTAS.

Yes, but the Super 530D button on the PCA is always the same.

In fact, provided you don't mix AG weapons, the button 2 of bottom line is always 5he main weapon.

 

So you can cheat and assign this PCA button on your HOTAS. :smilewink:

No need to "cheat", just assign the Hotas as it is in the real aircraft:

 

 

 

You just need three buttons:

One for Magic II, one for PCA select and one for gun.

So when you arm your weapons and guns, jsut select 530 on the PCA (mostly it is the first missile you need) and then you can select all three A2A weapons with the hotas.

Would also like to thanks Viper2097, this helped me a lot. One question though, I cant seem to remember how to “switch” from AA to AG gun mode and this pca gun shortcut is sometimes not giving me cue when locked to an airborne target. I tried to push the bottom/leftmost button on pca, it has a yellow light that is unreadable on VR, beneath the jettison arm switch, to no avail. Can anyone clarify this?
