zaelu Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 (edited) As title says. One module from registered user to registered user only and only one per year. I know the ability to transfer licenses have been removed because an resale marked had flourish but many times people just want to donate what they don't use anymore. The idea to have the transfer go from one user to another only (not just unlink serial from account then new unknown user links it to his)... I think at some point it was something similar but was abusable so I am thinking that maybe another condition can be added to limit even more the abuse. One module can be donated per year. Also the receiver can be allowed to have just one such gift per year. Sometimes a gift can bring a future user or keep 2 existing users. Why not more than one way of gifting? P.S Add older modules as a third condition... say at least one year old module not in beta or early access? Mars Exulte Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 Transferring registered, long time held modules is a bad idea, period, and few if any services allow such a thing... because it's stupid and bad business. If you want to give a gift, buy one and be done with it. If you don't want to use your account, give it away. What you're requesting is a terribke idea. cichlidfan Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 The modules are not that expensive. A gift is something that should cause the giver to have spent thought and money. Giving away a used item is not a gift, IMHO. I have given away about two dozen modules, before they made it difficult, and they were always newly purchased items that were given away. ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! zaelu Posted February 2, 2019 Author Posted February 2, 2019 Giving away a used item is not a gift, IMHO. :joystick: We must live on different Universes. I wish to give away to some friend my "used" FC3 since I bought the planes again individually out of boredom. I don't want to buy him another new one for 2 reasons... 1. I already have one not used... sorry... very used but still working (I think...). 2. I don't have the money to throw on his rather low interest on FC3 planes. Should ED keep the hopes he buys FC3 at some point or hope for him buying another MAC plane when it comes out after he tasted them with a gift FC3? @zhukov032186 Funny... In my Universe there are a multitude of sites that sell old games and the companies that made the games sometimes lose money but gain users that end up spending money on other products they make... DLCs etc. My universe must be "Stupid".
