MrTInc71 Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 Hi I am just flying the mission 2 but am unable to select the mission radio channel 35 despite ‚easy radio‘ it turned off. All worked selling the first mission. User error of a glitch?!? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
baltic_dragon Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 You mean tune to freq 35 on FM radio? There is no channel 35, so make sure to be in the manual mode for the radio. For more information, please visit my website. If you want to reach me with a bug report, feedback or a question, it is best to do this via my Discord channel. Yurgon Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Can you describe what happens when you try to dial in that freq? Are you using the FM radio (the most aft of the 3 radio control panels on the left console)? The frequency of 35.000 MHz shouldn't cause any problems with that radio.

The frequency of 35.000 MHz shouldn't cause any problems with that radio. re the mission 2: I am on 144.4 AM on radio 1, 252.3 radio 2 and 35.000AM on radio 3. However at WP2 I am unable to contact Prowler, despite selecting the correct radio with the Mic switch for radio 1... No selection appears on the radio...unable to contact them. I also am not able to hear any conversation with my flight group etc.. Bugged???
baltic_dragon Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Hey! If you look at the kneeboard for M02: Prowler is on 144.3 AM Overlord 253.3 UHF Your flight: 35.5 FM Looks like you have all three frequencies wrong. Try the ones listed and let me know if it works. Also make sure to exactly follow the flight plan and not cut the corners between the waypoints, as some triggers depend on you being in a certain zone. For more information, please visit my website. Hi sorry had typos in my previous post...I tried all these freq on the radios 1-3 and selected them accordingly with the MIC switch...nothing, I also adhered to the WPs...no triggers..all silent :( I could add a screenshot... baltic_dragon Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 I checked it and all is fine on my end, also didn’t have this problem reported by anoyone else. Can you send a pic of your radio panel when you fly or a track file? For more information, please visit my website. Yurgon Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 +1 for a track file, that should allow us to get a much better idea of what's wrong.

Bascule42 Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 I seem to be having the same problem - nothing happening when reaching the anchor point. I'm fairly sure I have the radio freqs set ok...

clafly Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 (edited) Try to leave the selector of the first and third radio to “MAN” Edited February 9, 2019 by clafly
Bascule42 Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 Try to leave the selector of the first and third radio to “MAN” Thank you, problem solved.
grimmer72 Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 Radio call problems I have been having similar problem. I'm getting the "beeps" at trigger points and "core" messages. Missions even completing successfully but I feel there must be more chatter. Don't hear any of the flight talking (except in intro mission) like the previous releases of this campaign. In fact, can't seem to get flight to do any commands either. ATC works fine. Main mission (F10) stuff too as previously stated. Seems to be just the flight that won't respond. Just did Mission 3 or 4 and think freq was 33 FM. Also tried with and without Voiceattack since thought maybe causing some issue. Thanks.
baltic_dragon Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 Your flight is on FM radio in all missions (as it would be in real life). Make sure to check the correct freq on the kneeboard and to switch FM radio left knob to MAN. Let me know if it helps, I know this is something new compared to all the A-10C missions out there :) For more information, please visit my website. Yurgon Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 What is a track file? How do i record one? A track file is a recording of an entire flight, or mission. These are automatically recorded during flight. Then in the debriefing screen after the flight, you should have a big button "Save track", which puts that file into a place of your choosing. Then you just need to upload it so that we can access the file. You could use the forum's upload function as long as the track is less than 5 MB in size (I think 5 MB is the current limit), or you could use Dropbox or Google Drive or One Drive or any other file hosting service to upload the file and just link it here. Watching the replay, we can pretty much "look over your shoulder" and see every action you took during a mission. Playback doesn't always work perfectly well, but I'm hoping this particular problem will be easy to spot.
dresoccer4 Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 (edited) i'm gonna throw my hat in to this too. i've been having trouble with the radios the whole campaign. now i'm perfectly willing to agree it's probably because i'm doing something wrong. for example: in this mission my flight is on FM 33.3. However when I tried to get them to attack some ground targets or change formation they never respond. likewise when i try to request permission to land. does my set up look incorrect? Yurgon Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 does my set up look incorrect? I only get an "Invalid Attachment" page from the forum when trying to view that. Can you try to upload it again (maybe also try Dropbox or Google Drive or so, if you have one of those available)?

Okay, now I could view the screenshot. :) The setup looks correct. One more thing that comes to mind: When contacting your flight members, did you use radio switch aft from the HOTAS controls? You can double check that the radio menu that pops up reads "FM" or "VHF FM" or so. In that case, flight members should indeed react, although the AI has always been dodgy at times.

dresoccer4 Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 (edited) i really am losing my mind. im on mission 5 and got my wingman to respond when i asked to close formation. but now i'm orbiting over objective papa and asking him to engage ground targets, and he never responds. i've tried every key combination. i'm on the same radio on in my screenshot. what the hell EDIT: so i turned my FM radio off and on again and it seems to be working *shrug* Edited February 14, 2019 by dresoccer4 Acer Predator Triton 700 || i7-7700HQ || 512GB SSD || 32GB RAM || GTX1080 Max-Q || FFB II and Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle || All DCS Modules
