Weird mouse click issue with switches near back of cockpit

I'm experiencing a quite weird issue, and that is if I try to click with my mouse on switches near the back of a cockpit, e.g. the oxygen switch in the Hornet, it doesn't work. In fact, it is clearly clicking outside of the DCS environment and in Windows itself. I can tell that by

1) the standard Windows sound that occurs

2) I have to click the mouse inside DCS near front of cockpit to make it active again as 'control' has gone to Windows

3) when I exit from DCS, there is a SteamVR box asking if I really want to quit SteamVR!

I had that as well, but for me it always raised the Windows taskbar about halfway up the screen outside of DCS.

What I did was to lock the taskbar, and now I can work those hard to reach cockpit items again. Also, you might want to run DCS in fullscreen mode, which I believe helps as well (RALT + Enter).

Lastly, you might want to ensure that this option is checked:

Thank you. Yes, that was it, for some reason my fullscreen was unchecked! All good now.

in VR in DCS, if the selected window on the desktop is not DCS' window, the interactions with mouse, keyboard or event controllers do not work.

Unfortunately this is true, which made me sometimes shout out loud. :noexpression:

Furthermore, if setting "confined" is ON and using VR, it sometimes happens to me that turning the head not enough to the side but indeed seeing the control I want to change, the cursor then "leaves" DCS and applies the click on the windows desktop. After playing 5 hours a on a go on the Viggen, I destroyed my whole desktop and some applications where running that used my RAM and CPU.

The strategy how the mouse is "kept" in DCS has to be re-worked IMHO.
