imacken Posted February 26, 2019 Posted February 26, 2019 Can someone explain the waypoint sequence/auto behaviour to me. In missions, training mission on waypoints, for example, if I select seq1, and auto, say, then fly through a couple of waypoints, if I then deselect seq1 and auto, then reselect them, why does the sequence go back to waypoint 1 after going through the next waypoint? Even if I unbox waypoint, then select seq1 and auto this happens. I'm sure there is an explanation! Wizard1393 Posted February 26, 2019 Posted February 26, 2019 The sequence button cycles waypoint sequences. Sounds like (by your desciption) you might be in SEQ2. You have to press the sequence button several times to take you back to SEQ1. backspace340 Posted February 26, 2019 Posted February 26, 2019 It's a bug, pretty sure I saw it reported a few months ago.

bonesvf103 Posted February 26, 2019 Posted February 26, 2019 My issue is when I set it to automatically cycle the WP, it selects a previous waypoint. So I just have been turning the auto sequence off and selecting WPs manually. But why is it doing that? v6, boNes "Also, I would prefer a back seater over the extra gas any day. imacken Posted January 18, 2021 Author Posted January 18, 2021 I'm resurrecting this thread as I seem to recall someone posted an explanation of how this should work, but I can't find it! So, the issue is, that when in the middle of a waypoint sequence, if you switch on AUTO and go to next WP, the sequence resets to WP1 and not the next in sequence as you would logically think. Tholozor Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 (edited) Correct as-per the NATOPS (section 24.2.9.4 on AUTO Sequential Steering) that selecting AUTO will select the first waypoint in the sequence. However, you should then be able to use the waypoint arrows to select the desired waypoint. imacken Posted January 19, 2021 Author Posted January 19, 2021 Thanks. The weird thing is, if you switch on AUTO, it retains the WP you’re headed for and when you reach that, then it jumps back to WP1. Then, if you cycle through the sequence it seems to jump some.
