crazyeddie Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 I tried to fix this liveries issue but the BDK-775.lua is screwed up, GT.visual.shape = "BDK_775" GT.Name = "BDK-775" The principal edm in the shapes folder is called: BDK_775_LOD0.edm The GT.Name should be the same as the shape.edm which then translates into the given name for the Livery files - none of them match up so no liveries appear. I tried changing things around but nothing worked - ED will have to fix this.

I can get the additional Liveries to show up in the ME drop down but they wont change in the ME preview window and dont appear in game when I launch it. I am also having issues with the game itself, I can get logged in to the website at present - dont know why ! I will keep trying, there has to be an easy solution to this.
crazyeddie Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 (edited) Cracked it, I had made 2 very simple basic errors which compounded each other several times over. I will tidy this mess up and attach a link to a JSGME file that will do a couple of things to the existing game model. 1 - It will replace the rather basic deck default textures with some weathered ones that somebody did a long time ago - they come complete with the alpha channels. I cant recollect who that was, whoever you are take a bow !! - They are superb. 2 - It will allow you to use all the excellent liveries that somebody else did ages ago as well, which are done with the alpha channels as well - I suspect it is the same person so take another bow ! Watch this space, it will take a while to sort it out completely, it was a bit of a mess. PS: MANY THANKS URBI - Your message pointed me in the right direction to find my errors. I used the texture files from DCSWorld/CoreMods/Tech/TechWeaponsPack/Textures/BDK_775_Textures.zip With Paint.net and the original files by @Urbi, I overlaid the pennant numbers and nameplates he made the textures I copied out of BDK_775_Textures.zip. If this works, I am going to find a way to upload them. Then again, I am gonna have to ask for permission from Urbi and whoever did the Argentine version of the livery as I used the Argentine version's description.lua file. 1
