Eagle7907 Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 A built in test for a system has failed or no longer working. It’s prompting you to check the BIT page to see what it is. Early access. imacken Posted March 4, 2019 Author Posted March 4, 2019 OK thanks. So, the bit warnings that are there on every mission that I can see are just EA issues? Eldur Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 I notice this comes up for example if I switch RWR off after a landing and on again before taking off. Quick fix is to go to the BIT page and press stop again, just like on startup. That removes the advisory. Still wondering more about that blank advisory that never goes away, there's always "ADV- " in there with quite a spacing to the first item if there's one at all.
Eagle7907 Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Also when you shoot all your HARMs. Turn off countermeasures, HMD, RWR. It’s all WIP. imacken Posted March 4, 2019 Author Posted March 4, 2019 The thing is, it is there in almost all Instant Action and Training missions, e.g. Ready on the Ramp, all the central BIT warnings are flashing. Sure, going to the BIT page removes the advisory, and you can press STOP on the BIT page, but it shouldn't be happening right? Just an EA thing? Eagle7907 Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 It will clear the advisory if you stop it. But it will trigger again if it detects another failure or fault. For the list of other items on the BIT page that’s WIP. The reason why it shows in instant action is because something might be powered off like the HMD or RWR or countermeasures. As of now it works for the most part correct. What doesn’t work is the ability to clear the BIT list of degrades and no gos. Those systems are not 100% done. Eagle7907 Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 Thanks, but it’s not just Instant Action missions, but the Training Missions as well. Best to assume it’s EA to blame, I think. It is. Lots of those missions were made in the earlier stages, too. So the starting state of those mission will have items turned off which would cause the BIT advisory. KittyVCAW-1 Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 Thanks I noticed this for the 1st time tonight on the A/A refueling practice mission. Could clear the advisory but would come right back a few seconds later. Went to BIT page and everything flashing like crazy. Tried running BIT for all systems but did nothing so I just ignored it and proceeded to follow tanker around until he ran out of fuel and everyone ejected. I was hoping to watch him trap but bailing out is easier I guess. Nobody likes me because I'm unsafe.
