How to unpause a mission

with the dedicated server I have set the options such that the mission is paused when we start but how do I get it to start? I have hit the pause button as that one is listed as bound to pause but no luck. I changed it to the letter P and still, the mission does not come out of pause. what am I missing?

That should work normally. What also should work is the 'Fly' button on the briefing page. (LeftAlt+B to open briefing by default or via ESC options)

If you start the dedicated server with a paused mission you can only resume them using the Web Interface, you need to open on your server the file index.html with a browser like chrome, you find it in your DCS installation folder:

DCS World OpenBeta\[b]WebGUI[/b]

 

 

You can't resume server using keyboard joining with a client your server.

 

You can use, instead, something like SLMOD to give command to the server using the chat, in that way you can resume/pause/restart the mission remotely using your client

When I start a mission via run in the web interface the server starts in a paused state.

Is there a way to have the mission start in a running \ unpaused state?

You can change the behavior go in advanced options when you're in the local web interface:
