Hovis
Hi, Is it possible to get a quick breakdown of which missiles, both air launched and SAM have either a smoke trail or are smokeless. Either I'm going nuts or some that did have trails now don't and I never any documentation about it. Plus it's very useful to know when coming up against a certain SAM site or aircraft and which missiles are likely carried by said aircraft
Snacko
I also am interested in this. I asked about the missing smoke on the Rapier, but got no response. falcon_120
On a side note, i'm really wishing they add contrails for all missiles, both smokey and smokeless ones, it adds a lot to the inmersion and also important to detect missiles coming from high altitude. falcon_120
They won't if its not realisticMissile contrails depends on humidity conditions be the missile smokeless or not. So yes it is realistic for ALL missiles under CERTAIN conditions. Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk

That did sound more like putting contrails on all missiles in general to have a spotting aid i5-2400 | 16GB Corsair XMS3 | MSI GTX 970 4GB | 500GB Samsung 850 Evo | TrackIR 5 | TM Warthog | Saitek Rudder Pedals | Windows 10 64 bit [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
falcon_120
You name it, under certain conditions. That did sound more like putting contrails on all missiles in general to have a spotting aidNot my intention. I said "spotting missiles coming from high altitude", which is where normally contrails are visible. But just to clarify, I want only realistic contrails. Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk PD: according to last Wags podcast, ED is working on the foundation of a humidity simulation within the weather engine, in order to have realistic vapor effects. I think missile contrails will be second. Edited March 13, 2019 by falcon_120
GGTharos
That's good news. I would hope they can tie this into the WX engine. And frankly, I hope IR missiles are affected by it.
