LooseSeal Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 This entirely could just be me... but I simply cannot get this to progress, for a couple of reasons. After switching to 'hot mic', you're told to ask Jester for non-assisted start-up, but not to respond yet to his request to arm the ejection seat. However, the instructions then go on to tell you to coordinate with Jester in the 'master test' section, but that isn't possible because he's still waiting for you to arm the seat. The big problem though is I am eventually told to wait for Jester to say he's ready to start the engines, but this never seems to happen and the only dialogue option I have for him is to 'abort start'. Anyone else having problems? Or as expected am I just finding a way to make this difficult for myself? - i7-7700k - 32GB DDR4 2400Mhz - GTX 1080 8GB - Installed on SSD - TM Warthog DCS Modules - A-10C; M-2000C; AV8B; F/A-18C; Ka-50; FC-3; UH-1H; F-5E; Mi-8; F-14; Persian Gulf; NTTR
Max_Rogue Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Have you tried to just arm the seat, and see what happens? I'm crawling through the download, so I can't try it for myself, yet. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Naquaii Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Sry about this. The line about coordinating with the RIO doesn't actually mean that you should do this via the Jester menu, rather that you would with a human RIO. I'll add clarification to that line in the tutorial. Just skip that and continue.
LooseSeal Posted March 13, 2019 Author Posted March 13, 2019 Yeah, I tried that. He says something like 'ready for start-up' and there's a minute of furious switch-flipping, but I don't get any new options in the dialogue wheel. It's just a bit frustrating as I love immediately learning cold starts for new modules. - i7-7700k - 32GB DDR4 2400Mhz - GTX 1080 8GB - Installed on SSD - TM Warthog DCS Modules - A-10C; M-2000C; AV8B; F/A-18C; Ka-50; FC-3; UH-1H; F-5E; Mi-8; F-14; Persian Gulf; NTTR
Naquaii Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 The next option that you'll get on the wheel is after engine start when he eventuall wants to know what alignment quality you want.
LooseSeal Posted March 13, 2019 Author Posted March 13, 2019 Thank you Naquaii! Is that also true of the fact that the instructor tells you to wait for Jester to tell you he's ready to start the engines? Does that only refer to human RIOs? Because he never tells me anything.. That's my main issue. I'm sitting waiting for a response that never comes.. haha. Edit: Never mind! You already answered my question!
