Jacks Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 is there any way to limit the aircraft to mil power with a keybinding or switch such as fingerlifts? I do not have a throttle with a detent but want to avoid using AB all the time. System Specs: i7 8700k @ 5.0GHz (not delidded), ASRock Extreme4 Z370 MOBO, EVGA GTX 1080 SC 8GB, 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz DDR4 RAM, Samsung Evo 240GB SSD, Samsung Evo 500GB SSD, 1TB HDD, Noctura NH-D15S Heat Sink, Acer VE278H 27" 1080p Monitor, Ocukus Rift CV1. Controllers: TrackIR 5, Thrustmaster HOTAS X, Saitek Throttle Quadrant (with DIY removable collective mod), Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals. Just trying to keep my number of takeoffs and landings equal!
Larkis Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 Sadly no. But yku can here some ticks in the throttle before the afterburner kicks in. Then slightly move back and you have milpower.
Blinde Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 I just wonder how it is hard for some people to use the throttle and listen it. It's pretty easy to use just by listeting or looking at the gauges.
Airhunter Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 There is also a nozzle indication near your engine instruments which starts goind clockvise to the max position once AB engages.
Donut Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 I use an X55 HOTAS which does not have a detent. Before release, I was concerned that this would be an issue but I have found that the sound is more than adequate for me. You may just have to give it time to get used to. i5 7600K @4.8GHz | 1080 Ti | 32GB 3200MHz | SSD | DCS SETTINGS | "COCKPIT"
Nealius Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 I don't hear any clicks over the engine noise. I often find myself thinking I'm in MIL but I'm barely in afterburner instead.
