a little update.

unfortunatly some other project in my university took all my time so that the whole bird is going to be delayed.

but good news is, that only wheels and the pilots have to be done, then the bird is ready for animations

before you unwrap it, give the beta testers a spin and we can comment on some improvements. Once that's done, you can unwrap it, animate, skin, damage model, lod...etc.

sure i will,

a few little things still need to be done though, little details and so on.

well a pit is done for the basic model and will be finished with skins in the end.

i hope to realise a 3d cockpit cause all the amatures are analog and the agruments for hem are free and not hardcoded

as side project i started yesterday to prepare the f-15c, the documents and all the rest that is needed before modelling.

i am off university over the christmas time and i guess i will start with my f-15 which is way easier and does not have such a complicated buddy

yes i would love to get all the material from you guys that is available.

i myself have an eagle pilot in my family, but it is hard to get in contact with him and well i don´t want him to risk his job in any way.

i allready have maybe 1000 pictures of the eagles but maybe you guys have some i do not have allready.

what i do not have are detailed wlak arounds of the bird, most of the pictures are action pics, also some of them taken by me, when i visited the RAF Lakenheath in summer 2006 which was a kick ass trip.

even one low level pass over the base, unfortunatly i had no cam at that moment and i only have the bird passing with fully ab in my mind, otherwise i would have posted them for you.

 

why i also would love to get pictures from you guys, i like to involve the community into project as far as it is possible, cause i am not only making the birds for me ;-)

 

maybe you can upload them on rapidshare as zip file and send or post the links so we do not spam the forum or threats to much ? :-)

I have several pictures and references for the F-15, however, its going to be quite large and currently I'm in an area where the internet sucks. So if you want any specific area, please ask and I'll focus on that region.

important are just as example the nozzles, all the antennas and everyxthing that you can imagine.

very important is, thats a fact, the whole cockpit, also with the area behind the seat.

 

i will only model the body of the f-15, cause a cockpit is allready there lol

hi guys i have huge problem,

i want to make the unwrapping of the blackbird and well there is some trouble.

everytime i try to unwrap there are alot of lines crossing through the next popup window and when i switch to the 3d view i see this picture

 

 

can somebody help?

what is the problem with that, i turn crasy and i am close to quit on that problem

 

please please, help is needed and it is very important that i get this fixed otherwise i do not know if the blackbird will be realised some day

thankns to yeniceri, who is producing the new a-10 at the moment, the BLACKBIRD will not die :-)

 

here the newest picture of the wrapping.

only the canopy, the gear, the left engine plus left wing and the 2 pilot need to be doen with wrapping.

 

then day one of tests will start

 

what does it look like in lockon, :-)

i was locking forward to this day for 4 month and now it is coming,
