bonesvf103 Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 I moved the cursor with the HCU to a target blip and hit full indent and it didn't hook. I tried again hitting half indent then full indent and it still didn't work. What's wrong? Doesn't seem to matter if I'm in PDSTT or TWS mode. v6, boNes "Also, I would prefer a back seater over the extra gas any day. Kirkey_badgers Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 Not tried rio seat myself but, have you looked at some videos by Jabbers, or Spudknocker on these things, might help shade some light :D
Jester986 Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 So I'm able to hook targets on the TID with the HCU while in track while scan. To single target track I switch the HCU to radar mode and use the DDD. It can still be difficult though. I was going nuts trying to lock a mig-29 but it turns out it was skimming a ridge line and I kept losing line of sight, so there could always be something like that going on.
QuiGon Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 If you're in TWS you can just hook a contact on the TID and press PD STT to lock him up. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

That's the problem though, I can't even hook them. I've watched Jabber's video and another and they just say to lock the target and they do it, or they say to put the cursor on it and lock it but not much else. Unless I missed it. But in any case, when I try it, I hit HCU 1st indent to move the cursor then I hit HCU 2nd indent to hook when the cursor is on the blip but nothing happens. v6, boNes "Also, I would prefer a back seater over the extra gas any day.
