Raven1606688358 Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 (edited) Hi :-D Love the module, but I have an issue with the altimeter, as the digits are way to small compared to a real F-14. It makes it difficult to read in a hurry. I know there is some thrads on the visibillity issue, but coulnt find anything altimeter specific Real life: Sim: Edited March 20, 2019 by Cobra847

Raven1606688358 Posted March 18, 2019 Author Posted March 18, 2019 Hmmmmm... Im talking about the inside digits showing current altitude. Maybe its just me then :-)
Knock-Knock Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 Hmmmmm... Im talking about the inside digits showing current altitude. Maybe its just me then :-) Nah, I agree with you. The digit drums or what ever they are called, are a fatter font in the real thing, and a little bit bigger - maybe due to the fatter font. - Jack of many DCS modules, master of none. - Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS. | Windows 11 | i5-12400 | 64Gb DDR4 | RTX 3080 | 2x M.2 | 27" 1440p | Rift CV1 | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind pedals |
Victory205 Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 That's an early test configured F14A aircraft. The altimeter in the sim looks fine. Fly Pretty, anyone can Fly Safe.
Emmy Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Correct size or not, the leading digits (white on black) could really stand to be “punched up” a bit to actually white and not dingy grey... Please. Please. +1 The hundreds digit is fine, but the thousands and ten thousands are both dark and worn out looking.... I know it goes with the "we are flying a 40 year old plane" motif, but I want my crew chief to swap this out for something that is legible, and all it needs is better contrast. 6700K@4.6 48Gb - 1080Ti Hybrid - Warthog - RIFT
Ickx Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Unfortunately there are no spares available. You have to make do with what you have.
