The manual mentions attack guidance symbology on the VDI for the AIM-7 and AIM-54 but I could not find any pictures or diagrams. Does anyone have anything that labels and describes what is displayed?

Thanks Spiceman! Exactly what I was looking for!

I really need to get a copy of the NATOPS...

Just type 'natops f-14 pdf' in google search and cherry pick.

Be aware that some of the B model NATOPS manuals you will find will be for the later DFCS (Digital Flight Control System) jets, so they wont give correct information on things like SAS settings for combat etc compared to the AFCS jet as we have it in DCS.

The B was originally called the A+. Name was changed for administrative purposes. Parts and procurement computer data bases didn't like the "+" nomenclature.

How do I tell them apart? I've got one from AUG 2001 and another one from MAY 03 / JAN 04, both contain content about the DFCS aj-hm.png

If it talks about DFCS its to new. AFCS is on the A+ like we have.

Does anyone have a link to the correct NATOPS for our Tomcat?

I don’t think you’re going to find one that matches the HB Tomcat. If there was an A(Plus) NATOPS out there (for a while you would actually see NATOPS with A(Plus) in the title) with change pages circa 1993 it would be pretty close, but I haven’t seen one.

Both of those will be DFCS. AFCS was gone by 2000.
