Hey,

I am VR (Rift) player. After year of trying to enjoy the game in its most hardcore options, I have gave up and turned on the "DOT Labels" as it saves a lot of time and eye stress. I stopped playing multiplayer because of this option unavailibility on servers. Which cut my playtime in DCS to absolute minimum. A transit from A to B jobs once a couple of days.

Now i finaly found again a meaning to play again with all the A/C purpose. In Dynamic Liberation Campaign (find more in Mission/campaigns sub-forum if interested).

Now, what I Wish to be added and why, from most important to less.

1) Make DOT labels option to have color same for all coalition, so I have to tend on IFF. No blue / red dots. Or possibly, making the dot coloured by coalition only when no more than 500 metres away from the A/C.

2) Make the DOT a little smaller, especially for far away targets, or give it a little transparency at far away targets

3) Use Different color / contrast / brightness / transparency for night missions. The missions in night are very OP with it, more then in Day I would say. Try to make its visibility average without NVG and good with NVG. Maybe some distance adjustment to line of sight of the dots without NVG. I enjoy Night missions maybe more than day ones as I need to tend more on the A/C instruments. Which is VR about.

4) Put the option to use DOT labels in VR options and make it as a different labels system, When VR headset is not connected, the settings will not be used on monitors. This way the MP servers can allow DOT labels for VR users only at least. Because who have not VR connected will have this option automatically disabled.

This can be a game changer for VR users, giving them option to enjoy MP PvP and not overpowering them. Before we get a new hardware options, software optimalization etc. which wont be in near future, this is probably the fastest and relatively easy solution for meantime.

Thanks for reading.

The above has already been requested, but I very much agree with the requirement.

Your suggestions #1 and #2 are already possible by editing a LUA file in your folder. This is how I play and love it. Doesn’t feel like cheating at all. As for multiplayer, I just play with buddies on a private server and we allow labels. I’m the opposite where I used to only play SP, but now only do MP.
