WelshZeCorgi Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 Either through some invisible hand after asking ground crew to push you back, or a tug magically appearing and pushing you back or you gaining control of a tug in order to push yourself back, I wish there was a way to handle your aircraft in reverse in the event of you either cornering yourself on the deck or overshooting the catapult. AI don't get out of the way so if it ends up blocking your only possible exit, you have to restart the mission and if you have to do that startup sequence again, it gets frustrating. Also, would be helpful if there was a way to know when to stop the aircraft to hook up to the catapult, sort of annoying to go into 3rd person view and try to guide yourself on since the NWS controls are backward if your facing the front of the aircraft.

There is a way: Next time you hook up to a cat, pause and look to your side to get a visual reference point. Memorize it. Next time taxi forward slowly until you see that same view and you will be close enough. Of course when the new carrier module comes out you will be able to rely on the deck crew to help you. mkiii Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Something as simple as a Label indicating the shuttle, which would be visible through the floor would be enough. Hooking up already moves you back and lines you up - sometimes comically, as long as you are within a couple of feet of where you need to be. I wouldn't expect a marshaller or tug anytime soon though.
