sirrah Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 (edited) Is it somehow possible in the ME to make ground units follow an aircraft after landing and stop nearby the aircraft? (without the use of scripting or .lua editing). Would be nice to be able to simulate emergency fire trucks to drive towards the player after making an emergency landing. Or maybe a fuel truck stopping nearby after a mission. davidp57 Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 You would have to script it ; in the ME it's simply not possible imho. In script you should spawn the units, make them go to a waypoint located at the followed aircraft location, then schedule the same function in 1 second or 2 (go to waypoint) because the aircraft may have moved Zip - VEAF :pilotfly: If you want to learn, talk and fly with french-speaking friends, the Virtual European Air Force is here for you ! sirrah Posted April 7, 2019 Author Posted April 7, 2019 You would have to script it ; in the ME it's simply not possible imho. I kinda expected that. Too bad, as I think it would really add to making the "world" a little bit more alive. Maybe at some point someone who knows something about writing these kind of scripts (not me :P) can create something lile this. Zayets Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 Scripting it is. For example, this particular script ( https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=127420 ) is moving ground units only in the areas covered by air support. It worked in 1.5 , I haven't tested it in 2.5 [sIGPIC]OK[/sIGPIC]
