Has anyone else noticed that after last update there is trim bug again?

My Hornet is rolling to the left/right side sometimes.

It happens mostly when I drop/shoot all of my bombs/weapons.

I've recently had an occurrence of trim control ceasing to work during a flight for unknown reasons. Antenna elevation as well. But then perhaps I just did something silly and didn't remember.

When you change asometric load, the jet needs to be trimmed.

If you had previously trimmed the jet with an asometric load, dropped the load to a clean jet, your still trimmed for the asometric load and will need to re trim.

You may have a point...But how can I re trim after I drop all of my bombs, could you explain.

Thanks!

He means if you trim out an asymmetric load, and then when you release all your bombs, presumably then being symmetrical again, you'll need to trim back.

I noted that trimming is needed for yaw axis also due to the heavy drag in order to keep the ball centered. Concerning the ball: is there any digital info for slip ball? The box on the bottom EADI I think is the turn coordinator. I see it on the Stby ADI only.

I`ve tried to retrim, pressing a FCS key, still notning, my aircraft is still rolling to the left side...

Does it always roll slightly left? As in from the time you take off, you have a slight portward roll?

Are you aware that you are able to manually trim the aircraft in 4 directions, typically through a 4-way hat on your joystick? Just want to make sure we're all on the same page regarding "trim".

If I am not wrong, in a no wind environment and w/o dropping any ordnance yet, even after a perfect trim and your plane doesn't roll, you'll probably need to trim again if you change altitude and speed.

The FCS button is not "trim". It simply sets the control surfaces to a preset position.

To properly trim the aircraft one should be using the trim hat on the stick.

For SA on where the control surfaces are and if they are "equal", consult the FCS page. With a clean jet and all other things equal, wing control surfaces should be the same on each wing.

Sorry for the confusion, yes, FCS does not tell you "trim" but it will show you if your control surfaces are equal. You will still need to deduce why it is flying the way it is. The auto trim to 1 g flight is in pitch only as that is where it applies. Not in roll. I dont think the super shows "trim" in the hud.

Trimming should be that simple.

Pilots (myself and the way i teach it at least) don't need to know where their trim is in the form of actual control surface location (except for takeoff). We just understand the energy state of the aircraft based off the instruments and then decided how to manipulate the trim appropriately.

Would highly recommend watching my vid on AOA and trim. Assessing trim for pitch is a bit different than assessing trim for roll or yaw. This can become quit an in depth conversation in aerodynamics. Welcome to catch me on discord and i can give ya the full meal deal.
