So I picked up the Hornet just today. The screens in cockpit look as shown in my attached image. This only happens when starting up DCS in VR mode and it is what I see in VR and also mirrored on the monitor. When I start up DCS in non-VR mode, cockpit looks fine.

What am I missing?

Yup, still same issues. I haven't tried repair yet but I will say that I've tried it in several different instant action missions, Caucasus and PG. Also rebooted my PC. Issue remains. I just downloaded the Hornet today. Running Stable version, but it has been updated to the latest open_beta.

Ok so repair didn't work. I've been playing with the file, "F:\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit\Scripts\Multipurpose_Display_Group\Common\indicator\MDG_strokesDefs.lua" and that is doing the trick. Settings for the Rift are now

stroke_thickness =0.12
stroke_fuzziness =0.06

-- Currently is used for DMC generated fonts black outline
DMC_outline_thickness = stroke_thickness *3
DMC_outline_fuzziness = stroke_fuzziness *1.1
DMC_stroke_thickness =0.12
DMC_stroke_fuzziness =0.06

However, this really thins out the lines on the HUD too. How can I separate the settings for the HUD?

Try a repair, it's quick and easy. Just hit Start from your desktop and type "Repair DCS World" and you should find the exe to run.

Edit: for some reason I didn't see your comment about repair not working.

Try deleting fxo and metashaders2 folders in DRIVE LETTER A B C D :\Users\YOUR USER NAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy and I've had both.

Try submitting a support ticket with ED on the main website, it can't hurt. You might get faster and/or better help that way.
