They should have the HGU-55 or HGU-68. http://www.salimbeti.com/aviation/helmets4.htm Our F-14B is a mid 1990's variant, making the above helmets appropriate. I really hope this isn't true...it would be dissapointing. I'm fine with the helpmets, really. After all it's just a helment and it'll come in handy for the -A. But they need to fix the visor handle being the oposite way on the current helmet. Yes, the visor knob is incorrect and was stated by HB that it will be fixed. However, if HB is striving for excellence and the highest level of realism, then they need to look into having the F-14B with the correct time period helmets. That's it. I am uninstalling. UNBELIEVABLE HEATBLUR!!!! I know you are joking, but you are right. In the grand scheme of things, it does not take away from us properly flying and operating the Tomcat. I would rather HB work on functionality, the FM, added features etc. at this stage of EA. However, the helmets are indeed the wrong model for the time period that HB stated the F-14B as being. Wrong is wrong and if they want to create the most accurate and realistic representation possible, then they will eventually fix it. They obviously take great pride in the visuals of the Tomcat and the helmet is very prominent in the cockpit center mirror.
