DERacing Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 Has anyone else had this happen? In the lower display (TDI? mode) when looking that the radar display and working on locking a target, I have had Jester turn off the display, then after a few seconds turn it back on again. Any idea whats going on? Is this normal? Should I not be drinking before flight?! :drink::beer::pilotfly: Intel i7 9700k, 64GB DDR4 (Corsair), Gigabyte Z390 Master, RTX 2080 Ti AMP 11gb, 500GB Sabrent Rocket (System), 1TB XPG Gammix S11 Pro M.2 (DCS), Windows 11 64-bit Pro, Samsung 49" 4K CRG9 Monitor (5120x1440), Samsung Odyssey Plus, TrackIR 5, Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas, Various streamdecks, button boxes, Logitech Pro Rudder Pedals, Corsair K95 Platinum, Iron Claw mouse. And he will say it in a super odd way, too  We will rerecord and improve his VIDs of aircraft soon. :) Heatblur Simulations Please feel free to contact me anytime, either via PM here, on the forums, or via email through the contact form on our homepage. http://www.heatblur.com/ https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/

Glad to see it's being improved! Yeah a couple of lines still need some flashing out. But please, be so kind what other instances you would have in mind; it always helps to get a second opinion. I can't think of specific instances right now, but basically there are times when the tone of Jester's voice does not match the situation or the flow of his words aren't natural, more spliced together. Overall though, you guys are doing incredible work and just needs some fine tuning. While I have your attention regarding Jester, I still have yet to hear his takeoff speed callouts and I only get his landing callouts on land, not the carrier. Thank you for your input, and if in the future you notice something specific, I would immensly appreciate if you let me know, I will then add it to the list. The 100kts callout (only callout RIOs made during take offs) is recorded and in the build, but has not been added in the code yet, this should come soon. Also correct: For now we only implemented alt callouts on landbased runways. We would like to wait for the new marshalling system that ED will introduce, before we tackle RIO pattern work during Case I, II and IIIs respectively, in order to make it fit in as best as possible. Don't know if you've noticed, but he always calls the Hornet as friendly, even when it's on the opposite team. It's very noticable on DDCS where the F-14 is on red but the Hornet is on blue - Jester always calls it as friendly after doing his VID.

Will see if I can reproduce it myself. Thank you for reporting it. PS: Would appreciate a vid etc about it, unfortunately I have little time lately to join the online fun... Naquaii Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 As to the original question, it is correct that this happens when Jester switches to TCS, the reason is that the TID repeat doesn't work when the TID in the backseat is showing video, the WCS isn't drawing the TID picture anymore. This changed with the newer PTID but for the TID that's how it was in the -A and -B.
