Rearm weapons in ready to use state in unlimited weapons mode

I think firstly to the mavericks which carrieable only in low numbers. (Because the designer not counting the needed playtime to overcome multiple targets. And not want to simulate ferry and airshow / non US nation conditions. I saw the pictures of real world Vipers carrying multiple mavs in one pylon.)

 

This can be applied to GPS bombs also. And to the Hornet and other planes also,

because the meaning of unlimited is not forcing to any limitations to the player,

in numbers and readyness time also not.

Now in Hornet: If you armed with mavericks after takeoff there is a 3 minute clooldown/setup time for firing.

If you are in unlimited weapons mode when you fire all the 4 mavericks the cheat mode rearming you in the air and the 3 minute countdown starts again before the new marvericks are ready.

As the only reasonable use of unlimited weapons is to practice weapon deployment (which in any event i disagree with) it seems that your suggestion would deny the benefit of such practice , ie weapons setup .

Unlimited weapons are very useful for general testing. Mission tests, bug tests, exploring the performance/limits of weapons etc.

 

 

Even when it comes to training, you can separate setup from employment.

So for the AGM-65, if you have unlimited ammo on, you fire then wait a few seconds for the AGM-65 to reappear under your wing. The new AGM-65 will need to go through the alignment process for a few minutes before it can fire.
