Coxy_99 Posted June 4, 2019 Author Posted June 4, 2019 G-sync off in game and CP, Worked for 30 mins, I had 40fps, Then the stuttering starts, DCS drops to 20 fps. Completely stumped.
Harlikwin Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 The 30 min runs fine and then takes a dump really sounds like a heat/power issue limiting. Can you set your fans to 100% from the start? If you are running afterbuner it can tell you if your card or CPU is throttling for whichever reason. Unless you have an app that starts up after 30 minutes and screws everything up, but that sounds weird. New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. unltd Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 (edited) +1 Really sounds like heat issues. I do not overclock my GPU but I do manually turn up the fan to 60% for DCS otherwise it will start throttling after a bit. Similarily, turning off turbo mode and locking the clock on my CPU keeps the stutters down. Also, make sure Oculus or Windows are not trying to dump some updates to themselves or other loaded software...those gigabyte downloads suck system bandwidth and cause major stutters. some other tips: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=171754 Edited June 5, 2019 by unltd Ryzen 5950x PBO | MSI RTX 3090 | 32gb 3600 RAM | 2 x SSD | Quest 3 | TM Warthog

Sandman1330 Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Glad you got it fixed! Of note for anyone else who finds this thread, I found this week’s Oculus beta update caused massive stutters that appeared to be related to tracking (on Rift Sj. I reverted back to stable Oculus and all is well again. Joker_1 Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 I’m having similar issues with poor tracking of the Rift S, only in DCS. When I start the game I immediately get stutters which eventually result in the oculus crashing and some message that the headset cannot be found (time varies, but happens regardless of in or out of actual flying). Restarting through oculus home doesn’t work. Have to completely restart. Tried similar solutions to coxy with no success thus far i9-9900K Processor (@ 5GHz) RTX 2080 TI - 32 GDDR6 TM cougar/MFG Crosswind-Valve Index :pilotfly:

If it's any help, I have a very similar motherboard setup and removed Sonic Suite years ago because it caused constant problems with my PC. Never had a problem with AI suite, and I'm not having any issues with Rift S beyond the usual DCS performance stuff. Де вороги, знайдуться козаки їх перемогти. 5800x3d * 3090 * 64gb * Reverb G2
