hansangb Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Glad you like the product, enjoy it. Sorry if you're having some issues, all part of growing pains. I'm sure Oculus will update it poste haste if history is any guide. But it would help us all out if the one-off posts were in the sticky Rift S thread. I think other Rift S users would appreciate it too. If it benefits general VR users, by all means post here. I'm not a moderator, I'm just a boy standing in front of a girl..no wait. I'm just a user asking others to keep the forum organized. k, thnx. hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1
Madmatt_BFC Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Not sure I agree. It would seem like as long as people are clear with their subject title that posting new threads is totally acceptable and expected. That main Rift-S thread, of which I have contributed a bunch myself, is now closing in on 100 pages and at that volume and size, it's usefulness and relevancy is beginning to lesson as the larger it grows, the harder it is to pull specific details and current bits of info out of it. Totally my opinion of course, but as a VR-centric subforum, it would seem that posts about VR topics, regardless of if they are specific to certain HMD or not, would make sense to go here and result in new threads being created as long as they properly identify on if it's a general VR topic or a hardware specific one. ricktoberfest Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 I agree with Madmatt. I mean really, do we want only a few threads here- one for each HMD? That would be impossible to find any relevant info without ready through hundreds of meaningless drivel. Now if there was an oculus sub forum that might be different, but a sticky thread - no Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I3570K @ 4.5Ghz, 16Gb DDR3 @ 2400, Vega64 @1080p

The hundred plus posts are interesting but not real iseful. Each hmd manufacturer subforum could be good. I'm also against picketing, but I don't know how to show it. Madmatt_BFC Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 Just like there are subforums for the various manufacturers of joysticks and HOTAS, I think we are quickly getting to the point where we need new subforums for each of the major brands of headsets out, or about to come out. (the great Mitch Hedberg) You could 'get your point across' by placing a post in the single ' sticky Rift S thread' you are advocating others to use. Or, by your very own actions, are you submitting that indeed single posts in that thread will not get noticed. Ahhh the plot thickens :music_whistling: Vampire

It'll come to you why that wouldn't have been effective. I'll give you a hint. People who post *outside* of the sticky is the problem. But others had actually had a *valid* point. Unless Oculus is a sub forum, it's probably too limiting.
