In DCS, select "Mission" from right side, select one, then, on the bottom of the window you'll have 3 buttons: Cancel, Mission Planner, Start.

In Mission Planner, you can do small adjustments to your mission. The units checked with "HIDDEN ON PLANNER" won't be visible here.

The real uselfulness of this "Hidden on Planner" option is very limited .. true, you dont see the unit (or static object) on the Mission Planner ... but once you have entered your aircraft, you can see them on the F10 map (unless the Map is set to "Map Only" on gameplay options).

Currently, I use the "Hidden" unit option to hide static objects and thus prevent them from cluttering the F10 Map .. but then these objects cant be seen on the Editor, making updating the mission harder than it needs to be.

I'd like this Hidden on Planner feature to be expanded, so that it also hides the unit or object on the F10 Map ... that would make it much more useful than currently is.

This has been added? Great news, this has been necessary for some time.

Rudel, I think the intention with this feature is to hide units that would not be known to intel before the mission without keeping them off the map (especially with Fog of War) once flying. Using the hidden option would keep units hidden in the planner, but also hide them from F10 if you were using it as an AWACS screen, which could be problematic. This option shouldn't force hidden objects on the F10 map, that would ruin its functionality.

I think instead units marked as Hidden need a visibility option in the ME.

OK, I see your point ... tough using F10 as AWACS is IMHO much less frequent than hiding/showing units on the Mission Editor every time you edit a Mission.

An alternative would be that the normal "Hidden" status resulted on the unit being hidden on the F10 map, but on the Mission Editor the unit were only "dimmed" rather than being completely invisible. Hope ED reads this, as I dont want to add anything to the plethora of already existing wishlists :(

Best wishes

Yes, having an option to show hidden units in the editor would be nice to have. It's also probably best to post the request in the wishlist section, even if it's crowded. The Hidden on Planner option was suggested in there before, maybe that's where they saw the idea.
