I'm re-installing DCS World on a new SSD and I was wondering if there was any advantage or potential problems with installing it somewhere other than the Programs Folder because I know Windows 10 has some increased security on those folders.

Any advise appreciated.

Thanks,

Ian

I installed my DCS on a dedicated drive and have had not a single issue ... but I did preserve the /program files/Eagle dynamics/ path, not for security but to avoid potential path issues with any utility software like Kneeboard Builder and the like:

Just for info, i do have a dedicated SSD (labeled as GAMES) in which i install everything that needs the extra bit of performance (DCS, ArmA3, SQUAD etc.). Everything is installed in its root (F:\whateverGame) and there's no issues with it. Just make sure any external tools (SRS and such) are pointing to the right place whenever installing/using such tools.
