When on ground you choose weapons/fuel amount/flares it would cool to be able to enter coordinates for JDAM/JSOW.

For example, if selected JSOW on pylon, appears window at bottom where you can enter coordinates and altitude for this JSOW. And also add ability to copy-paste coordinates.

This way I will not need to spend 20 minutes entering coordinates using F/A-18 UFC panel.

This should work in Multiplayer too

Just in general, and not just for the Hornet, DCS is in increasingly desperate need of a proper pre-planning screen that isn't just the mission editor with some buttons turned off.

There are now so many ground settings for so many planes where you want to set up weapons (laser codes, fuzing, delivery methods, weapon steerpoints etc etc etc), countermeasures, waypoints, markpoints, target points, threat zones, map markers and any number of different things that this really should be consolidated to its own interface — and it needs to work in MP as well.

Once the F-16 comes around, the inability to do all the stuff you should be able to do via DTC (and which by all rights should be available for a number of aircraft as well) will be downright painful and borderline silly. The fact that only the FC3 aircraft would not benefit from a similar interface, even if it would not be abstracting a DTC mechanism but rather various ground switches, means that there already aren't any good excuses for it not being there — once the Viper comes around, it's not just a matter of no good excuses but of being downright inexcusable.

DCS desperately needs a 2d planning layer.

real mission planning is nearly impossible without it.

+1 I like this idea, something like a more interactive planner for weapons etc

You can use this in the meantime: https://github.com/Santi871/DCSWaypointEditor/releases

Captures mission coordinates from the F10 map, and then enters them into the Hornet for you (you can choose if it makes waypoints, in sequences if you'd like, or if it makes PP missions for the JDAM/JSOW). Great little program. Doesn't break IC either, so compatible with MP.

Seems like a great effort, but doesn't work for me.

Capture from F10 doesn't work in VR, and enter into aircraft does nothing.
