msalama Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Well, you can do stuff with the weather if you want to. That said however some others do it much better, with some even having a METAR-fed local weather implemented. The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
Mars Exulte Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 If it's always the sun and fluffy clouds, try better missions or another server ;) There is wind and weather a plenty, although it could be better implemented, it's mostly a mission issue. Ahmed Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 the biggest problem is that the weather is not synced in mp currently so one guy can be inside the clouds while another one has severe clear... big changes needed with the weather engine
Weta43 Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Always the sun and fluffy clouds. Because people don't add bad weather to their mission. I want arguments All the arguments are on the weather page of the ME, including randomisation if that's what you want. Cheers.
Wait4It Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 I agree 100%. Sure there is wind and the editor has some options, but it doesnt come close to reality. Especially the visuals of clouds are very lacking. Also, wind feels too constant in strength when you set it. But i believe hearing that some things were in the works, so i have my fingers crossed.
mono6020 Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 in addition, it's not possible to create real overcast condition with dynamic weather. and although i know it's possible somehow, i've never managed to get a good amount of clouds WITHOUT strong winds. i think you'll have to edit the weather lua file for this. search the user-files for "Caucasus Storm Front" or something (also available for PG). i found this to be the most realistic looking weather in CC, but still far away from perfect
Nooch Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 Weather in DCS isn't simulated in an advanced manner currently. I hope it will come in the future. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
