Pilotasso Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 I went to Portugal Airshow 2007 last sunday and these are some of the videos someone got from it (my own still on tape). I think you would like to see how an f-16 pilot would feel in an A310 seat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dK5VOhKk8s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpmTpioTFZg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-tVBCX8yDQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkJr2kY1TqY these made world wide news, I think the pilot has been reprimanded for recklessness. The plane is to be decommissioned soon. Some more vids of the event: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1WyXfYOzKQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InwmPJ3KUmw my favourite for obvious reasons :D Some photos, credits to their respective authors: .
MoGas Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 wow the Airline must have a good insurance when something goes rong!! nice pictures
Pilotasso Posted September 19, 2007 Author Posted September 19, 2007 THe plane is to be retired anyway. ;) And the pilot abused it obviously. Infact there was 1 other near crash. The spanish Colibri helicopters were the "stars" of that one: The helicopter in the background was suposed to fly verticaly into the center of the circle made up by those in the closeup. Instead it flew too far off the edge and missed another helicopter by just a few feet. 1 .
MoGas Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 :thumbsup:Ohh man I watched the video great but risky like hell!
brewber19 Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Impressive!!! Thanks for sharing your videos ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 487th Helicopter Attack Regiment, of the VVS504 Red Hammers

ED Team Groove Posted September 19, 2007 ED Team Posted September 19, 2007 This A310 pilot is a crazy MF ! Top guy ! Our Forum Rules: http://forums.eagle.ru/rules.php#en
Pilotasso Posted September 19, 2007 Author Posted September 19, 2007 There are hundreds of peaople at airliners.net saying they will never fly this company again. :D Take another perspective... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYfhC9ft_hk kinda makes you think heh? :D But the news are (and unlike I thought it to be) the entire display was simulated weeks on end in anticipation of the show. There was no misscalculation, there were no unscheduled manuevers. .
ED Team Groove Posted September 19, 2007 ED Team Posted September 19, 2007 Whats the problem at all ? He did a display at a airshow. Where there any passengers on this A310 ? Our Forum Rules: http://forums.eagle.ru/rules.php#en
Pilotasso Posted September 19, 2007 Author Posted September 19, 2007 No, only 2 crew. But take a look at this: http://www.airliners.net/discussions/general_aviation/read.main/3612868/1/#1 very fun reading...all those scared people. LOL .
ED Team Groove Posted September 19, 2007 ED Team Posted September 19, 2007 From the forums: Hi! The pilot on this great performance flight was Cap. Cйsar Brito no less than the TAP Airbus A310 fleet last Chief Pilot...this awesome pilot have 4.000 hours on the A310 and TAP wanted to pay the best tribute for almost 20 years of service in TAP without an accident. The airplane involved was CS-TEI and the co-pilot of that flight was Vitor Pereira. Has you know, from November on TAP will start to receive 5 brand new A330-200 fresh from the factory. This incredible performance shows the great pilots TAP have during all these years, just to remind you in early 60's the famous Capt. Marcelino passed UNDER Tagus bridge with a Boeing 707!!! I personally think that Capt. Cйsar Brito with this large amount of flying hours on the A310 did knew what he was doing!!! Regards Any video about this 707 stunt ? britgliderpilot Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 From the forums: Any video about this 707 stunt ? Don't know about that . . . but you might like this photo ;) An unladen airliner can do some pretty impressive stuff - though the clearances on the A310 display look a bit marginal. Are you allowed to fly over the crowds at Portugese airshows? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
Pilotasso Posted September 19, 2007 Author Posted September 19, 2007 It seems so. I was flown over by helicopters and prop planes like sukhoi 31's. Though Im not familiar with the laws. BTW there was a crash. A 1/4 scale model RC aerobatics plane crashed on landing. 5000 euros worth of hardware were left in pieces. A hotdog landing was responsible for the accident. It caused no FOD on the runway. It was a SU-29 model. From the forums: Any video about this 707 stunt ? No that Im aware. I have never seen it aired, and its unlikely to be found on the net either. .
nscode Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 About the airbus... that's what you get if you put a stick in an airliner :D Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
Pilotasso Posted September 20, 2007 Author Posted September 20, 2007 The A310 is pretty old. Ours are to be withdrawn. I think they still have the steering horse shew. Maybe if it had a stick it could come even lower than that without touching. ;) .
nscode Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Anyway.... looooove looping in 737 in FS :) Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
