Updated pilot model

I noticed you guys are rolling with the base pilot model + JHMCS from the hornet. Are there plans to update the model. You guys are updating aircraft models and stuff, isn't it about time you make the pilots look less 2008ish? Not to mention, being a huge fan of the Viper, I couldn't help but notice how small your pilot model was while sitting in the seat of the Viper. Just google F-16 pilots during AAR and you will see how much of the cockpit volume those pilots really take up. It helps people grasp just how small this jet is. Also, using the proper O2 mask

(MBU-20/P) as opposed to the MBU-12 (elephant trunk).

 

Anyhow, I know there are a lot larger priorities for this aircraft, but when it comes to sims, the small details matter to a huge percentage of this game's community. I am looking forward to the release of this jet. When you guys announced it, I got chills from excitement.

How about also fixing the American pilot rank and flag? Frankly, it's an insult to see the American flag shoulder patch flying backwards and the USAF Captain rank ninety degrees off. How many additional years will this be allowed to continue? I fixed it as a "mod" more than a year ago, but I should not have to. Attention to detail matters … rant over.

The sim pilot has way more room than the RL Viper has. It’s pretty cramped in there when you’re sitting it.

I disagree. The shoulder distance to the edge of the canopy is about the same for both irl and sim.

I also think that model of the pilot is clearly smaller than it should...same in the hornet. The JHMCS should be much bigger and the picture you posted irl is wearing a much smaller helmet yet it looks pretty much the same size the jhmcs in dcs. Also, the pilot model in dcs is too thin, it looks like a kid. I agree is time for a proper and detailed pilot model like the ones in the viggen or tomat.

There should be much more volume and size imho, in the f16 the pilots look "constrained" due to the small size of the cockpit.

The whole helmet is misrepresented... they did not do anything. Why do not they read?. Why do not they change anything? that's the same... ugly thing #F/A-18c.

It's not easy to match the pilot's size, people are not the same size, like CTRL+C, CTRL+V...There should be smaller humans and "bigger" as well...

Razbam managed to make detachable NVGs which were folded up and down when you enabled/disabled them so it's not impossible. I really hope ED implements this in the Viper.

 

Also, yes; the pilot model definately needs to be remade. It looks so plasticky at the moment. I also really hope they mimick the 6-DOF pilot animations that HB have in the Tomcat. The pilot movement looks so realistic in the kitty.
