Nealius Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 (edited) EDIT: Tomcat and Tiger values revised. Images added. Prior to the 2.5.5 updates the barometric pressure in the mission's weather settings would give proper field elevation on altimeters, even at airfields with high elevations. This is no longer so. Measured at Shiraz with ~4,890ft field elevation, Mission QNH 30.05. A-10C Altimeter reading 4,740ft. Must dial 30.22 to read proper field elevation. https://imgur.com/IjS3dQ2 AV-8B Altimeter reading 4,890ft as it should. No change needed. https://imgur.com/Xtf6R4J F-14B Altimeter reading 4,800ft. Must dial 30.13 to read proper field elevation. https://imgur.com/YxGuug3 F-5E-3 Altimeter reading 4,730ft. Must dial 30.24 to read proper field elevation. https://imgur.com/YCqag17 If I'm reading FAA FARs correctly, altimeter tolerances at that elevation should be less than 70ft. Also the altitude change per 0.01 in.Hg. is totally inconsistent across modules. Edited July 18, 2019 by Nealius
Biggus Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 Just to add that I am getting the same issue and it is making it very hard to fly my primary module, the F-14.
