I will be testing the performance of DCS with the O+ over the next week as time allows and uploading the results on this OP. I will be using a path that I fly through downtown Dubi in a F-14B recording the min/max/avg FPS for 2 minutes. Below are the configurations I plan to test using the following hardware 8700k/2080ti/1080ti/32g ddr4. If anyone would like to see a different configuration let me know or forever hold your peace as I will be selling the 1080ti soon. I will also upload a screenshot of settings used for reference. Suggestions or questions are welcome.

DCS VR Performance Tests

Can you add 3600 CL16 as that is a sweetspot between bandwidth and latency. CL15 if you can.

3866 at CL18 is lesser in most Test I have read and it only gets worse if you increase MHz with looser timings.

3200 CL14 or tighter is also real good.

Updated, 26% not a bad improvement! I think my cpu is holding the 2080ti back a tiny bit as its not pegged at 99/100% like the 1080ti was, its closer to 97/98%. But maybe I just need to crank up the setting a bit to take advantage of that last bit, IDK. More testing to do.

Well after adding 2xAA and 8xAF GPU usage is about pegged at 99% like the 1080ti was. Just before I was noticing that it was very close and sometimes very quickly flashing 90fps and that might have been what was keeping it back.

I think even though FRAPS didn't catch it (it only saw 88fps) the GPU was momentarily hitting the 90fps cap of the O+. I might have found a few more % increase if it were not for that. So maybe a more realistic improvement over the 1080ti is 27 or 28%?

Delta59R,

Which 2080Ti did you get?

Your tests were run at stock clocks on the 2080Ti and the 1080Ti?

Happy Simming,

Monnie

Hey, the two cards tested both at stock clocks were;

EVGA SC2 1080ti 11G-P4-6593KR

And

EVGA XC Ultra 2080ti 11G-P4-2383-KR

I sold the 1080ti to a fellow simmer for 450.00 and purchased the 2080ti from newegg for 1109.00, came with 2 games ill probably never play.
