Thank you Pac-Man for this very extended and informative video. It's good to see that spotting distance really improved with the 5k

Unfortunately I'm not yet ready for an upgrade as I do not have enough spare time at the moment to justify the purchase.

Hello PAC-Man

Nice review

I had my Pimax 5K+ for few months now and even if not perfect I like it and it is getting better every software update.

So the usb-c port under the pimax is for future module expansions, like the hand tracking module Pimax is developing.

For what Regards the headstrap I found it very uncomfortable because all the weight was on my nose.

It was painful after 10 minutes

I solved buying a vive deluxe audio strap, but if you want to mount this on your Pimax you will have to 3D print some adapter pieces.

This process is explained on a dedicated forum thread on Pimax forum and you can print them with one of the thousand online printing services.

For the face cover I went with an aftermarket product for vive as well.

I got it on eBay , and the brand is kiwi design.

I’m not sure this is the best you can find but I find it very very comfortable.

I chose this one because they give you 3 face cushions of different thicknesses so one can experiment which is best.

For what Regards pitools I noticed something in your video.

In the Games section of pitools under motion smoothing there should be an option called fixed foveated rendering,I have it and it helps the frame rates but apparently for some reason you don’t have it, I couldn’t see it in your video.

You might want to investigate.

Only people with an Nvidia RTX-card will have that option for the moment.
