max22 Posted August 18, 2019 Posted August 18, 2019 (edited) Hi ED, AGM-65F is a missile I'm very familiar with, used it dozens of times in battle. For some reason, when uncaged it is no longer designating to target (waypoint). This used to work perfectly. EDIT: not using tpod, just waypoint designation Edited August 18, 2019 by max22
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted August 18, 2019 ED Team Posted August 18, 2019 Hi Are trying to use WPDSG, If so there is a bug where it can only be done once. If you are using TGT Pod ensure you are within 7 - 8nm before slaving. If it is something else please attach a short track replay showing the issue and we will take a look. thanks Forum rules - DCS Crashing? ED Team BIGNEWY Posted August 18, 2019 ED Team Posted August 18, 2019 Not using TGT Pod, just WPDSG. Probably the above mentioned bug. WPSDG Is only working once, after it will not allow you to slave. It is reported to the team. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Ziptie Posted August 18, 2019 Posted August 18, 2019 Probably the above mentioned bug. WPSDG Is only working once, after it will not allow you to slave. It is reported to the team. I encountered an issue when trying to use the tpod and iMav (mavF). FOV adjustment was only working for the maverick, rather than the Tpod. Did some reading and some of your replies, along with others seemed to indicated that the maverick takes priority over the Tpod when depressing the FLIR/FOV button (which is why I went with the information and figured it wasn't a bug, but rather a feature functionality). That being said, I was unable to slew the seeker head of the maverick as well and had to simply put the seeker head in caged bore sight over the desired target and then un-caging. Normally with the iMav (mavF), I would have to hold the depress button while using the TDC to slew the seeker head of the maverick - but that did not have any success and unable to slew the maverick seeker head (iMav / mavF). Even thought that I had not "un-designated" the intended target from the tpod, so ensured that I then designated and un-designated desired ground target from the tpod, then tried the correct process/protocol for the maverick by itself(by no longer using the tpod, even had switched it to standby mode with the master switch on right console panel) - no luck. Is there currently a bug with the maverick f variant for slewing the seeker head? No mods, most recent version of open beta install, but was doing a mission in the Eastern Friendship campaign by Sedlo (v2.2). Any feedback is appreciated. Didn't save the track file but did screen capture the video and it is posted in another thread here on the forum, via YouTube. Happy to link if desired or needed. Cheers, Don Seems to be the same problem as above. Since you have a designated target point, the MAVF is supposed to automatically uncage and slew itself to the target point. The problem is that this isn't working properly right now. To slew the seeker yourself, undesignate the target (pinky switch) and then try slewing again, with the TDC priority to the MAVF display.
