[REPORTED]Communication menu lost during sim until exit from DCS

There are lots of error messages logging unsuccessful manual pop up of communication menu.

Unsuccessfully no track from original event. (was a prepare mission simulation) A similar one attached, with log too. Despite in the recreation event time menu operation was normal: log shows errors too. (at the two barrel roll time there was no menu in the original event)

Can you give a more detailed explaination of how to duplicate it? I haven't seen this issue myself.

Currently no more detailed explanation than this track. Only happened once for me, it was terrible. I played first time the same mission at first after startup, right after startup I adjusted options to game flight mode, after a retrogaming with LockOn. This time the 2.5.5 series invisible or empty menu popped up with no title. The magical title: "CommandMenu.menuCaption" which is popped up last time july 8 for me with Hornet carrier operation. (was frequent on early 2.5.5 builds, because of carrier communication modification)

The common is the mouse cursor shown. No more ability to look around with mouse, my only good method. And Function keys not working more to external views and unable to exit from the broken menu. But "CommandMenu.menuCaption" solvable by spawning to other plane. This reported case persisted until DCS exit.

I tried to done again the same routine:

8 updates and still reducating menu to "CommandMenu.menuCaption" in Su-33 in carrier operations. Just after second takeoff.

Still can't reproduce, I didn't do the same running start from the end of the deck, I took off normally, but comms worked here ok.

Unfortunately because I've done the same routine, that menas no track; prepare mission mode.

But time can tell, next time with track mode i will attach to here.

Problem resides since 8 updates ago.

Edit: previously i'm unable to report it because every time happened in MP mode, MP tracks was very long

replayable track, 14 minutes of simulation

To examine "CommandMenu.menuCaption" behaviour TAKE CONTROL the su-33

after the second intended takeoff. (Intended with hook down.)

Because in replay you can change external views with function keys without modification keys.

At the final stage of su-33 flight you can see externally via CTRL+F2. (If you not take control and not move the mouse etc) What is hard in this, you unable to use F1 to back to internal view!

At track ending J-11A spawn reseted the menu.

(Replay worked for me with acceleration.)

edit: hook state doesn't matter, I take control after successful land, and take off immediately,

dead menu popped up automatically.

Feel like this might be related

Haven't flown in dcs for a few months.

And after update to current version.

No radio menu.

No text in tutorials or any comms.

Subs are on - tried turning off and on, but to no avail.

Manged to isolate it:

reverting to: 2.5.5.33184 - did not help

reverting to: 2.5.5.32533 - did not help

reverting to: 2.5.4.30386 - FIXED IT

Both subtitles and comms menu are working again.

This has to be the culprit.

From patch notes i see there was a change introduced in 2.5.5.32533 i quote:

"Option for scaling font in radio menu and messages added to System options, Scale Option to change the font size of top left/right messages."

A possible solve to your problem is a fresh Config folder in saved games.

You not posted any dcs.logs with error messages.

Reverting to 2.5.4 rewritten many files, make sure your SSD is healthy. Especially if only DCS stored on that SSD.

Is any progress about empty Kuznetsov menu?

I fly the Su-33 very often.

I usually practice the landings many times a day.

If you don't do communication with Kuznetsov, just open the ATC menu of Kuz. at approach time,

approximately 5..3 km from the touchdown zone in the top left corner the "Navy LSO (0):" message appear first, in the same time your communication menu is destroyed to "CommandMenu.menuCaption". You cannot exit with F12 from this "menu" and F-keys don't working to external views. This is since 2.5.5; please fix it!

EDIT: Or bolter time after first touchdown.
