It would be fantastic if we could have an option added to the game that disables damage from friendly weapons.

While not really required for Single Player or campaigns it would be incredibly useful in Multiplayer.

 

High Value Air Assets like AWACS could be set to 'immune from Friendly Fire' to stop trolls who join the server specifically to teamkill aircraft like this to ruin the server experience for other people.

While accidents do 100% happen from people who make genuine mistakes, sadly there are a lot of cases of people who will intentionally teamkill other aircraft to get their kicks.

 

We can combat this online for PvP teamkills by kicking or banning the person after the incident but often with things like AWACS and Tankers that asset will now be out of the mission for x amount of time because someone intentionally team killed it.

Having the ability to set AWACS and Tankers to immune from FF would really help to combat these trolls.

Hey Mav,

Just a thought as a mitigation, certainly not a fix and in the right circumstances could essentially make the AWACS invincible to hostiles for a short time. But given the scenario mentioned above I believe this would drastically reduce the occurrence of this.

 

Moving trigger zone attached to the AWACS (centered on it) with approximately extending out 15-20 miles from the AWACS to account for MOST missile ranges

Set "Immune On" as a triggered action

When a member of the friendly coalition is in zone > Immune ON

 

Or you could to the inverse.. Immune is always on UNLESS there's a hostile within attack range.
