Best controller for the HCU?

I've tried using an XBox controller, but it doesn't give me enough accuracy for the absolute slew on the HCU.

 

Would a bigger stick like a Thrustmaster T.16000M or Logitech 3D extreme be more accurate? Other options?:joystick:

 

 

Or is there a way to use the mouse as the slew?

 

 

(The keyboard arrows work OK, but it's not as nice as analog input)

For the Rio pit i also bought and use a Logitek Side Panel - meant for some farming sim game originally however excellent for TGP also in the back seat. Its like a huge button box that comes kindly with an analogue joystick complete with top buttons!

 

Its ideal for having everything to hand quickly re radar scales, TID scales , Lantirn control, radio , countermeasures etc etc!

I also should have said works plug and play with every module so tend to use it for most TGP systems now also - its added alot to the Warthog.

Same. Why do you need another controller for the HCU? When you're flying as RIO you only need the HCU (+ LANTIRN stick maybe).
