Good morning all,

I am having issues with calling my tanker to refill. I do have the easy radio on but when I go to call it the tanker is greyed out and has "N/A' before Texaco.

I am using the K-135 and created two waypoints. On waypoint one I have the tanker at its altitude and speed.

I also have on waypoint 1, the orbit as racetrack.

I did add another command for refueling but not sure if that is messing it up. I followed some youtube mission creation videos but no luck.

Can anyone assist?

I attached the file I used for my mission.

Thanks for your help

Hi,

Make sure to turn on your UHF radio (middle radio) & tune freq to tanker 275. You can then contact Texaco A-OK.

This works in your mission.

You might also find this AAR mission useful:

Thank you for the help. Quick question since I don't have the Nevada map, will this work on the normal map or Middle East?

That one is only Nevada. These two work with Caucasus map.

I checked your mission and everything is set up just fine. I could contact the tanker even from the A-10C on the ground, and also from the Hornet that's already airborne.

My only guess is that Easy Comms don't work for some reason, but I'm afraid I don't know anything about them.

My proposition would be to switch over to realistic comms. At first it seems pretty difficult, but after a short while it'll all be fairly straightforward. The only real downside is that the A-10C uses 3 different transmit buttons:

Mic Switch Forward = VHF AM radio

Mic Switch Down = UHF AM radio

Mic Switch Aft = VHF FM radio

So you'd have to find a place for all these on your stick/HOTAS or use the keyboard combinations to call any in-game asset on the proper radio/freq.

The upside is that you could use the exact same setup in multiplayer with Simple Radio Standalone or UniversRadio, which covers voice comms on probably 75+% of all MP servers, and the rest is purely TeamSpeak or Discord.
