To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

I love watching the Tornados take off from HOLLOMAN.. I just need to make sure you not driving near the end of the runway and taking a sip of coffee when they do it! :) But I am going to miss the F-22s :(

My father retired out of Holloman in 1989 and they still live in the area. I miss seeing the F-4F's of the 20th FS flying around. When I was there they were flying the QF-106's and the QF-4's. I know they are still flying the QF-4's and there are QF-16's there now. Tornados and F-117's were always a treat. I haven't been back there in a long time so I have never seen the F-22's flying there. I did see some 7th FS F-22's at the Reno air races in 2012.

Truly superior pilots are those that use their superior judgment to avoid those situations where they might have to use their superior skills.

If you ever find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

Cool! Yeah allot of AF guys retire here, even some of the Germans! :)

Holloman is a great AFB, not too big, not too small.. The best part about it, for the AF pilots is the WSMR test area, they got lots of room to do 'stuff'. I was out on the range one day, headed to the zumwall track for some russian target testing when I saw two F22s doing a moc dog fight above, the real cool part was when one of them started popping flares, so they must have been doing some serious lock on testing.

So, you saw the transition from QF106 to QF4s, we are now in the transition from QF4, to QF16s.. We just installed a bunch of new cameras along the runway to monitor the take off and landings.. That was fun, I basically spend the whole day tracking UAVs, Tornados, F22, F18, QF4, QF16 taking off and landing..

Didn't even feel like work! ;)

I also saw the conversion from QF-100 to QF-106 and I remember seeing the 7th, 8th and 9th TFS flying F-15A's. I was told they had actually received a few of F-15C's before the decision to move the F-117's from Tonopah. I was at the ceremony when the first official F-117 flew in. That was my first good look at the F-117. I also attended the decommissioning of the 20th FS.

So long Kiowa Warrior! The service will be less without you!
