 The F-16 has always wanted to fly. The way I know the story ( I'm sure is not accurate but) They were performing high speed taxi and the aircraft took off. I think this is one of the reasons why the F-16 LEF is set to 2 degrees up until weight off wheels (WOW) is detected. Also note how easy is for the pilot to fall into pilot induce oscillation on the longitudinal axis. I experience this in a simulator.

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Hehe I'm glad I didn't write that FCS code :)

I do not think it was related to FCS code. The original F-16 did not have any movement on the Side stick controller, but it was sensitive enough to detect pressure. This effect promotes over controlling the aircraft. Keep in mind I'm assuming all of this, I do not remember the details of that video nor have I ever goten access to anything that describe what happen, I'm just going by what people talk about on different forums/magazines/book/etc. Anyway, very small movements of the side stick controller on the new versions (only ones I have interacted with) allow you a lot of control of the aircraft, I can't imagine how difficult most have been to control the aircraft without any movement of the stick. :joystick:

You can see some changes in bird #2

Is this the landing after flight zero?

No joke, they are about to save 9 billion Euro on the German Bundeswehr.

So here's the new tank model based on new calculations, the "Smank"

Don't know if anyone's seen these - pic 2 is fairly impressive!

A good reminder of the importance of terrain cleareance around the airfield. It also reminds me of the moronic airfield layout in Brazil with... fuel storage tanks at the end of the runway :shocking:
