This pics seems fake, Flogger is strange in shape and color!

July 4th, 1989 colonel Nicolai Skuridin departed Kolobrzeg AB in Poland for a routine training flight in a MiG-23. He had engine problems soon after takeoff and pilot decided to eject. However, plane continued flying in autopilot and crossed into East German and West German airspace where it was intercepted by a pair of F-15 operating from Soesterberg AB. Flogger finally crashed when it ran out of fuel in Belgian town of Kortrijk killing the 18 year old man in his house it crashed into!

I remember seeing it on the news when it happened, it was funny at first but hey, I was a 11yo kid back then!

Here some authentic photos:

OMG  How unlucky can that guy be?! To be killed in his house by an unmanned kamikaze aircraft... Incredible.

Indeed, I remember this, living in Belgium. We followed the news from minute to minute.

Same for me, was about 30 km from my parents home. I went there to look at it, but i can't get close enough to watch it very clear. Thought name of village was Bellegem, near the France border.. The guy was still laying in bed because he went out late the day before.

Zoom view onto fuel gauge indicator or left click onto it. You'll see the P/T toggle switch...Pretty same in Su-27 except fuel qty are 3 times larger :)

Vex:

MiG-29 had P/T toggle switch but in Su-27 I don't see it! It seems to be 'automatic'?

Did little investigation about differences in P/T scales what You noticed earlier - it means that plane don't use fuel from tank number 3 (B3) yet. It's just after fuel indicator starts to work. Indications are correct when B1 and B3 lamps are on - and this noticed MVSgas in later part of movie...

Part of manual, where I found it:

Maybe some Russian friend correct me if I mixed something :music_whistling:

Just thought You want to know ;)
