Flappie Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 (edited) UPDATED: On current release version (stable 2.5.5.35461), when AI Hind units take the right amount of damages, they try to make an emergency landing on the surface of the sea... and they often succeed when the sea is calm. Clck here for attached .miz file. ------------------------ Original post : Hi, I recently witnessed a damaged AI Hind safely "land" on sea, near Gudauta airbase (stable 2.5.5.35461). The AI Hind was supposed to land on the ground, near the airport. Once damaged, it landed right here on the surface of the sea after some water-gliding. It didn't sink. Here's my track. Catweedle Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 (edited) I have witnessed the same -- I reproduced it in a new mission with some AI Mi-24's and me sniping them in a Gepard. Doing the "right" amount of damage indeed makes them emergency land on water: AI was set to passive defence, running the latest OB as of today. --- Thanks, Flappie -- video is public now. Flappie Posted October 4, 2019 Author Posted October 4, 2019 I found out how to reproduce this bug : Create a group of 4 Mi-24 Hind flying at an altitude of 100m, and at a speed of 100kph along the coastline. Set a "TIME MORE THAN" trigger that make each unit explode (EXPLODE UNIT) with a volume of only 1.
