flavnet Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Hello everyone. A simple question: how to return the HUD to the NAV mode after activating AA or AG mode? Thanks in advance.
Revelation Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Press the A/A or A/G button a second time to return to NAV mode. 1 Win 10 Pro 64Bit | 49" UWHD AOC 5120x1440p | AMD 5900x | 64Gb DDR4 | RX 6900XT
SonofEil Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 When starting on the runway or in the air, HUD is already in A/A mode. I can't seem to get it to switch to NAV or even A/G modes, totally stuck in A/A despite any button pushes. Known bug? Me stupid? i7 7700K @5.0, 1080Ti, 32GB DDR4, HMD Odyssey, TM WH, Crosswind Rudder...

Make sure you are not in Dogfight mode or Missile Mode, that is what it sounds like based on what you just typed. Win 10 Pro 64Bit | 49" UWHD AOC 5120x1440p | AMD 5900x | 64Gb DDR4 | RX 6900XT
SonofEil Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 "Me stupid" is usually the right answer. ; ) I'll look again in the manual and Wags videos as soon as I get home. i7 7700K @5.0, 1080Ti, 32GB DDR4, HMD Odyssey, TM WH, Crosswind Rudder...

May not be that, you could have a double binding of that button which could be causing your issues. IF being in DF/MRM mode is the problem. Emmy Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 If I have AIM-9 selected in A-A and hit A-A again to return to NAV, I can still hear the seeker growl. How do I make that go away as well? That might be a bug, try reproducing it, saving a trackfile and uploading it to a new thread for ED to take a look at. Win 10 Pro 64Bit | 49" UWHD AOC 5120x1440p | AMD 5900x | 64Gb DDR4 | RX 6900XT

That reminded me, I have had that too. I couldn’t get rid of the tone when I was pointed at a source of heat, even a plane on the ground would set it off. Stranger than that when pointed towards a plane 30 miles away would also activate the lock tone. Using the instant action ready on the ramp at Nevada.
Void78 Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 That might be a bug, try reproducing it, saving a trackfile and uploading it to a new thread for ED to take a look at. That is a bug and it is mentioned somewhere in the forums. You could in that case toggle AG master mode on/off,toggle dgft missile mode, or select Aim120 in AA page on right mfd,and then go back to nav:smilewink:
SUBS17 Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 When are they going to model the instrument mode select panel? BTW the F-16 is very well modelled so far. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]

Frederf Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 When are they going to model the instrument mode select panel? BTW the F-16 is very well modelled so far. It is already, "M" button at the bottom of the HSI. It replaces the NAV-TCN-ILS knob from older models.
SonofEil Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Yep, the switch just below the speedbrake switch on my Warthog throttle was in the forward position causing missions to hot start in MRM mode. Thanks for the help! i7 7700K @5.0, 1080Ti, 32GB DDR4, HMD Odyssey, TM WH, Crosswind Rudder...
